This vlog, moderated by Mike Grill, focuses on resilience and the first responder. Mike Grill, MS, NREMT-P; is the former EMS Regional Program Director for Centura Health’s South Denver EMS Team in Denver, Colorado. Mike retired from the Sierra Vista Fire (AZ) Fire Department in 2007 after 23 years of service. Active in the Fire/EMS service since 1985, he has authored numerous articles for EMS and Fire trade journals. Mike has co-authored three textbooks – Fire Service First Responder, First Responder Resiliency and A Community Of One: Building Social Resilience. In 2003 Mike joined the VidaCare Team and co-created the education materials for the EZ IO, awarded innovative medical product of the year in 2008 by the Wall Street Journal. In 2012 the Emergency Medical Services Association of Colorado recognized Mike as Colorado’s EMS Executive of the Year. Mike has presented at over 200 fire/EMS conferences in both the United States and Canada.
